The ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother’s quest to live vicariously through her daughters’ fame.
Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920’s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. This gripping story highlights one of the most compelling and distressing aspects of show business.
A classic musical with many Tony Awards to it’s name, Gypsy has been a Broadway favorite since it opened in 1959. With a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, songs include Let Me Entertain You, If Momma Was Married, You Gotta Get A Gimmick, Everything’s Coming Up Roses and many more.
This WPPAC Conservatory Theatre production is performed by actors in 7th-12th grades. Our program is both artistic and educational, holding our students to high standards while providing them with the tools necessary to meet those standards.
