When you hear that familiar flute intro or the unmistakable Southern groove, you know it’s The Marshall Tucker Band — a group whose music has stood the test of time and still resonates across generations. From the heartfelt yearning of “Can’t You See” to the high-spirited energy of “Heard It in a Love Song,” this iconic band has carved out a legacy rooted in rich musicianship, storytelling, and soul. On September 19, they bring their legendary sound to Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill for a night of timeless hits including “Fire on the Mountain,” “Long Hard Ride,” “Ramblin’” and more. Formed in 1972 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, The Marshall Tucker Band became pioneers of Southern rock, blending blues, country, jazz, and gospel into a signature sound that broke musical boundaries. The band’s influence reaches far beyond their own catalog — inspiring everyone from Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Johnny Van Zant to Collective Soul’s Ed Roland. With over 20 studio albums and countless miles under their boots, The Marshall Tucker Band remains a true Southern institution. Don’t miss your chance to experience the magic live in Peekskill — because if you heard it in a Marshall Tucker Band song, you know it comes straight from the heart.
