Off the coast of Australia, Middle Island is home to a colony of fairy penguins who are under threat from hungry foxes. With help from his granddaughter, Olivia, an eccentric chicken farmer hatches a plan to save the penguins—and it’s up to their mischievous, fluffy sheepdog Oddball to save the day. Can he to overcome his trouble-maker reputation and prove that his guarding skills are up to the task? Based a true story, this is a funny and environmentally aware adventure. Recommended for ages 7 and up.
Sick Ball, a short film produced by Media Arts Lab students, will precede the screening.
Hands-on activities follow the screening on July 15: Assemble and color Oddball “running” to reach the Penguins in this fun interactive scene made out of paper.
