Volunteer Opportunities at Locust Grove

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Public Program volunteers help staff fun events for kids and adults.
Fairy House Hunt Volunteers
Saturdays and Sundays April 30 - June 26
10am - 2pm or 2pm - 6pm
Hand out tickets and maps, direct visitors, and move houses at the end of the day
You'll need to be comfortable sitting and standing, and be able to bend and lift up to 5 pounds.
Sunset Sensations Volunteers
Second Thursday of each month, June - December
4:30 - 7:30pm
Serve food and wine to guests at our great wine and food pairing series, and help stack chairs at the end of the night.
You'll need to be comfortable standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Volunteer at 2 events and get two free tickets to the third!
Car Show Volunteers
Sunday July 10
8am-12pm or 11:30am - 3:30pm
Sell tickets, distribute programs, and direct visitors
You'll need to be comfortable sitting, standing, talking with lots of people (1,000 visitors during the day!), counting cash, and making change. Come early or stay late after your shift to enjoy the show - volunteers get free admission!
Holiday Hunt Volunteers
Sundays December 4, 11, 18
10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm
Stationed in the historic mansion, you'll help visitors find the clues to our holiday scavenger hunt. We'll provide lots of training for the room you'll be in charge of.
You'll need to be able to walk to the mansion, and stand or sit while on your shift. Come early or stay late to enjoy our beautiful holiday decorations. Volunteers are also needed to decorate our 20 trees!
