Friday, September 18 — Opening Night (5 PM)
The celebration begins Friday evening with a mix of hands‑on creativity and family fun. The Wallkill Public Library will host Lego Sculpture Building and Story Time, followed by a festive Fall Egg Hunt for children. The community‑favorite Photography and Art Show also opens for viewing and voting, showcasing work from local artists and artisans.
Call for Artists & Artisans
Vision of Wallkill invites creators to participate in this year’s art exhibition. Original submissions are accepted through September 14, including paintings, drawings, photography, jewelry, and mixed‑media works. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to contribute to this growing community showcase.
Saturday, September 19 — Main Festival Day (10 AM–3 PM)
Saturday’s full‑day celebration features interactive exhibits, performances, contests, and activities designed for all ages. Highlights include:
- Captain Me Show — A Musical Self -Determination Program for Every child
- First Responders Showcase— kids can climb, explore, and learn about our community first responder vehicles
- Scavenger Hunt — a playful adventure across the event grounds and prize for the first 100 participants
- Cone K‑Os RC Driving Course — test your remote-control car skills on a thrilling traffic cone slalom course
- Billy Goat Bingo — a quirky, beloved WOW tradition
- Science Corner — hands‑on experiments and STEM fun
- Dog Costume Contest — adorable pups dressed to impress
- Food & Vendors featuring Hudson Valley favorites, local artisans, and delicious treats
The festival will also feature food and vendors showcasing Hudson Valley favorites, local makers, and family‑friendly treats.
